Linscott Charter School Lockdown/Button-up
Procedures
Linscott Charter School Lockdown procedures
will be referred to as Button-up Procedures. The Linscott Charter
School Administrative director/designee will order an Evacuation
or a Button-up of the school campus if they determine the safety
of students and staff is jeopardized.
A button-up will be identified as a "code
blue", a ""code yellow" or a "code red",
depending on how seriously safety is jeopardized.
Code
blue - indicates minimal to moderate police
activity
Code yellow- indicates moderate to heavy police activity
Code red - indicates it is clearly unsafe for anyone to be
walking on school grounds (i.e.: there is actual gunfire on school
grounds, or there is hazardous material in the air.)
Three short bells, rung in rapid succession,
in combination with the following message will be used to initiate
a Button-up of the Linscott Campus:
"Attention All Teachers
and Staff!! Attention All Teachers and Staff!! Due to a school
emergency we are initiating a code ______ (blue, yellow or red)
Button-up. Please secure all classes until further notice. Mr.
Stevens, please report to the (incident location). Mr. Stevens,
please report to the (incident location)."
For Code Blue
procedures, refer to blue page.
For Code Yellow procedures,
refer to yellow page.
For Code Red procedures, refer
to red page.
